Top 12 Convenience Store Name Ideas From Real Founders

These names were generated on the LOGO.com name generator and chosen by real founders naming gas station stores, corner shops, mini marts, sari sari stores, kirana shops and a school tuck shop. Convenience store searches make up a small pool on our generator, so this is a shortlist of real picks, not a popularity contest. Grid Market and Fuel Up are the only names picked more than once, and every name from Minute Mart down was picked once, so read the order below the first two as a shortlist rather than a ranking. Charlotte Quick Mart and Southside Quench Mart came from the same search.

What makes these 12 convenience store name ideas work for businesses

All twelve were generated on LOGO.com and chosen by real founders. Here is what each one does well, and the pattern behind it that you can borrow for your own store.

Grid Market

This came from a founder planning a gas station with a grocery store attached, and it is the most picked name on this list. Market appears in 2,257 logos created on LOGO.com, a word that promises a proper shop rather than a pay window, and Grid gives it a clean, modern edge that suits bright canopy lights and tidy aisles. Steal the recipe: pair one short modern word with market so drivers know there is real shopping inside.

Fuel Up

Fuel Up was picked more than once from plain gas station searches, the only other name on this list with a repeat. Fuel sits in 246 logos on LOGO.com, and turning it into a friendly instruction lets the name work as a sign, a slogan and a reason to pull over. Steal the recipe: turn the thing drivers need into a short, upbeat command.

Minute Mart

The founder behind this pick asked for nothing more than a convenience store, and got a name that states the whole promise at a glance. Speed is a crowded idea on LOGO.com, where express alone appears in 591 logos, so Minute does the same job with a fresher word and a matching first letter. Steal the recipe: name the time a visit takes, then add mart.

City Stop

A founder planning an inner city drive up store chose this plain, confident name. Once unstoppable and nonstop are filtered out, stop appears in 346 logos on LOGO.com, a word that tells drivers they can be in and out in minutes. Steal the recipe: name where you are, then add a word that promises a quick visit.

Corner Convenience

This came from a mini mart founder who asked for something short and easy to fit on a sign. Convenience itself is spelled out in only 18 logos on LOGO.com, so a name that simply says it still stands out on the street. Steal the recipe: put the place and the promise side by side, and let the matching first sounds make it stick.

Charlotte Quick Mart

A founder opening a convenience and smoke shop in Charlotte picked this, one of several names chosen from the same search. Quick appears in 454 logos on LOGO.com, a familiar speed word that turns local the moment a city name goes in front of it. Steal the recipe: start with your city or neighborhood, then add the speed and the store.

Southside Quench Mart

From the same Charlotte search, this one swaps speed for refreshment. Fresh is the usual word for that feeling and sits in 787 logos on LOGO.com, so Quench says it with a cold drink in hand and far less company. Steal the recipe: name your side of town, then pick one sensory word for the best seller in your cooler.

Hub Stop

A founder running a mini mart at a roundabout picked this short name, and it describes the spot perfectly, the hub everyone passes. Mini mart is spelled out in just 21 logos on LOGO.com, and names like this one skip the category word entirely, letting a place word and a speed word do the job. Steal the recipe: name the landmark your store sits beside, then add stop.

Barangay Mart

This came from a founder opening a minimart in a barangay, the neighborhood unit every Filipino knows. Mini market, another name for the same small format, was chosen as a business industry 57 times on LOGO.com, and Barangay Mart shows how much warmer the format gets once the community's own word leads. Steal the recipe: use the local word for neighborhood, then add a short store word.

Masbate Corner

A founder naming a sari sari store picked this one, pairing the Philippine province of Masbate with the most familiar store word on the block. Corner appears in 634 logos on LOGO.com, and a home province in front of it gives the name a story regulars can ask about. Steal the recipe: put a place you are proud of in front of corner.

City Kirana

A founder asking for kirana shop names chose this short, bright one. Kirana appears in 77 logos created on LOGO.com, familiar enough to trust and still far from crowded, and City gives it a modern, urban feel. Steal the recipe: keep the local word for your store and add one English word so passersby get it too.

Pupil's Pantry

This name came from a founder setting up a school tuck shop. Tuck shop turned up in only eight name searches on LOGO.com, so school stores are still wide open, and a pantry sounds stocked and sensible to the parents and staff who approve it. Steal the recipe: name who you serve, then add a store word that sounds tidy and generous.

Look closely and a pattern jumps out: a place or a promise, plus one short store word such as mart, stop, market or corner. Try that formula with your own street in the store name generator.

The Top 9 Words Founders Use In Convenience Store Names

Store

Store is the word founders pair with convenience most often on LOGO.com, far ahead of everything else on this list. These nine are the words that most often sit next to convenience in searches on our generator, and because one search can hold several of them, the counts overlap.

Shop

Shop turns up in 7 convenience searches on LOGO.com, a distant second. It reads warmer than store, so reach for it when the counter matters more than the aisles.

Gas

Gas sits just behind shop in convenience searches on the LOGO.com platform. If fuel is half the business, say so in the name, so drivers spot you from the road.

Mart

Mart follows gas in convenience searches on LOGO.com once words like smart are set aside. It is still the shortest way to say convenience on a narrow sign.

Snack

Snack appears in a couple of convenience searches on our generator. Snacks are what bring regulars back, so a snack word can carry a name built for grab and go.

Local

Local ties with snack in convenience searches on LOGO.com. Founders want to sound like part of the block, and a street or neighborhood name does that better than the word local itself.

Quick

Quick appears in a single convenience search on LOGO.com, yet it is the promise every shopper is buying. Pair it with a place, the way Charlotte Quick Mart does, so it does not blend in.

Family

Family matches quick in convenience searches on the LOGO.com platform, from owners who run the store with relatives. A family word on the sign tells regulars who is behind the counter.

Drink

Drink rounds out the nine in convenience searches on our generator, a reminder that the cooler is often the busiest corner of the store. A cold or fizzy word can hint at it without naming a brand.

Don't get stuck with a forgettable convenience store name

Your name ends up on the sign over the door, the map pin drivers follow, the receipt, the shopping bag, the delivery app listing and the loyalty card. Make sure it passes these five tests.

  1. Easy to Say

Regulars give it as directions and say it on the phone to friends. If a passerby can repeat it after reading it once from a car window, it will travel.

  2. Easy to Remember

People pick a convenience store in seconds, usually the one they remember first. One clear picture, a corner, a clock or a lamp post, beats a clever phrase.

  3. Easy to Search

On LOGO.com, mini mart as two words is chosen as an industry twice as often as minimart as one. Check how people in your area spell the format before you commit, and skip clever misspellings that send shoppers to the store down the road.

  4. Easy to Own

Before the sign is ordered, check the domain, the social handles, your business registration and the map listing, and run a quick trademark search. Stay well clear of national chain names, which are closely guarded.

  5. Easy to Grow

Leave room for the store you will have in a few years. A name tied to one product or one street can feel tight once you add a deli counter, a second location or fuel pumps.

500+ Convenience Store Name Ideas by Store Type

According to LOGO.com data, convenience store was chosen as a business industry 1,394 times this past year, by 1,209 different people, and that exact label makes up 96% of every industry choice containing the word convenience. The lists below follow the stores founders actually describe, from corner stores, bodegas and gas station marts to sari sari stores, kirana shops and school tuck shops, so find your format first and borrow the patterns that fit.

Classic convenience store names

Nearly three in four convenience searches on LOGO.com add the word store, a sign that founders want the format understood before anything clever. Classic names do exactly that, pairing a plain promise of speed or everyday supplies with one friendly word a regular can remember at the register.

How to name a convenience store, from the first delivery to the sign over the door

A convenience store name has to work on a lit sign at night, a map pin and a receipt, and it has to feel quick and friendly at the same time. Across the past year, founders picked 91,784 names on LOGO.com, and 95 of the name searches behind the platform mentioned convenience. Those searches, from gas station owners, corner shop families and sari sari store founders, point to a few clear lessons.

Start with the corner you serve, not with quick and mart

Quick, mart and express are the first words most owners reach for, which is why so many signs already carry them. A better starting point is a short list only you can claim: your street, your side of town or the landmark you sit beside, the hours you keep, and the one thing regulars come back for, the coffee, the deli sandwich or the cold drinks by the door. Build from that list and the name will sound like your store instead of every store. Serving coffee first? Our cafe names page fits better. Is the counter really a pizza oven? Browse pizza shop names.

Three name styles founders keep picking

The names founders chose on LOGO.com fall into three families. Place names put the address first, like City Stop, Masbate Corner and City Kirana. Speed names promise a short visit, like Minute Mart, Fuel Up and Charlotte Quick Mart. Community names speak to the people who shop there, like Barangay Mart, Corner Convenience and Pupil's Pantry. The name generator can serve all three. The style that struggles is the long list name that tries to fit fuel, groceries, coffee and phone repair into one line.

Test it on the sign, the receipt and the map

Read the name from across the street, as if it were lit up above the door. Print it at receipt size and check it still reads. Then type it into a map app with your town and look at who already owns the first results. Taking the store on the road? Food truck names are worth a look, and if the shelves lean toward souvenirs and greeting cards, try gift shop names.

Lock it down before the sign goes up

When a name passes, lock it in. Grab the domain and the social handles, register the business name, claim your map listing, and run a quick trademark search, all before you order the sign or the uniforms. If you plan to sell tobacco, vape products, alcohol or lottery tickets, your license applications will ask for the registered name, and those products are for adult customers only. Then turn it into a brand: design the mark with our logo maker, write a one line promise with the slogan generator, and if the store grows into a car wash or a cafe next door, find an umbrella name with the business name generator.

Methodology. Figures come from LOGO.com product data for the year to 26 September 2026, covering 391,509 name searches on the generator. Industry figures count how often a label was chosen as a business industry, and convenience store figures use the exact label convenience store. Word figures in names count how many business names created on LOGO.com contain each word, with host words such as nonstop and unstoppable removed from the stop count. The Top 9 words count how many of the searches containing convenience also contain each word, and because one search can contain several of them, the counts overlap and are shown as a ranked list. Founder picks are the names chosen from convenience, gas station, mini mart, minimart, sari sari, kirana and tuck shop searches in the generator, which is a small pool, so the Top 12 is a shortlist rather than a league table. There was no icon data for convenience stores, so this page carries no icon figures. Source: LOGO.com first party product data, September 2026.

"LOGO.com is an amazing resource. It helped me create a professional-looking logo for my business that received more praise than logos I've paid designers to create for me in the past. The site is very easy to use, walks you through every step, and gives you control over the entire creation process."
