Top 12 Blog Name Ideas From Real Founders

These twelve are real names founders generated and picked on LOGO.com while they were naming a blog or a media brand. Blog is one of the largest industries on this platform, chosen 97,548 times in twelve months, so unlike most pages in this series the pool these came from is genuinely deep.

Read them for one habit in particular. Almost none of them contain the word blog. They name the subject instead, which is the single most useful thing the data on this page can tell you about naming one.

What makes these 12 blog name ideas work for a real blog

Every name below came out of our generator and was picked by a real founder naming a blog or a media brand. Here is why each one earns its keep, and the pattern you can lift for whatever you are writing about.

Manch Media

Media is the word that tells a reader this is a publication rather than a person, and it grows with you if the blog turns into a newsletter, a podcast or a channel. Pairing it with a short distinctive first word keeps it from sounding corporate. Writer was chosen as a business industry 1,115 times on LOGO.com this past year, far fewer than you would guess, which tells you most people naming a blog do not think of themselves as writers at all. Steal the recipe: a short proper noun plus a format word reads as an outlet.

Udaan Update

Update promises a rhythm, and a rhythm is what turns a blog into a habit for the reader. It also sets an expectation you can actually meet, unlike words such as daily or weekly that become a rod for your own back. Journalism was picked as an industry only 94 times in the same year, so the formal news words are wide open if you want them. Steal the recipe: pick a format word that describes your cadence without naming a day.

Blogger Boutique

One of the very few names in the whole pool that says blog out loud, and it works because boutique immediately narrows it to fashion. Without that second word it would be generic. The word blogger appears as an industry choice just 109 times on LOGO.com, which is the clearest sign that naming yourself after the job is out of fashion. Steal the recipe: if you use the word blog, make the other word do all the narrowing.

Digital Momentum

Two abstract words that would be empty on a bakery and are exactly right on a marketing blog, because momentum is what that audience is buying. Abstract names age well, which matters for a blog you want to still be writing in five years. Newsletter was chosen as an industry only 94 times in the year, a reminder that the format words stay small while the subject words stay big. Steal the recipe: abstract works when the subject is already abstract.

Palate Pages

Palate is a food word that avoids the obvious ones, and pages quietly says this is written rather than filmed. The alliteration makes it stick after one reading. It is the best example on this page of naming the subject and the format in two words. Recipe was chosen as an industry 641 times on LOGO.com this past year, small enough that a recipe blog has plenty of naming room. Steal the recipe: one word for the subject, one word for the medium, and let them alliterate.

Couture Cuisine

Borrowing a word from one industry to describe another is the fastest way to set a tone. Couture tells you the food will be precise and photographed beautifully before you read a single post. The risk is that it promises a level you then have to deliver. DIY was picked as an industry 554 times in the same year, the opposite end of that spectrum and just as nameable. Steal the recipe: borrow an adjective from a fancier trade and the whole blog gets its tone for free.

Travel Tales & Trails

Three words is usually one too many, and this one survives because all three start with the same sound and the middle word tells you these are stories rather than itineraries. Travel appears in 2,171 of the name searches founders ran on our generator, so this is a crowded space where a rhythmic name earns its keep. Steal the recipe: if you must use three words, make them all pull in the same direction phonetically.

Muse Maison

A foreign word raises the register instantly, which is why so many interiors blogs reach for French. Maison also does real work, because it says home without saying home. The danger is that it makes the blog harder to spell out loud. The word muse appears in 185 wordmarks on our platform, quietly popular and rarely overused. Steal the recipe: one borrowed word is elegant, two is a costume.

Modest Motion

Two words that both carry meaning twice over. Modest reads as both restrained and as a style of dress, and motion reads as both movement and momentum. Names with that kind of double reading give a blog room to change subject without changing its name. Lifestyle appears in 720 of the name searches on our generator, a small figure for a huge category, which suggests most people describe their niche more precisely than that. Steal the recipe: pick words that mean two useful things at once.

Wellness Whispers

Whispers sets the volume of the whole blog, which is a clever thing for a name to do in a category full of shouting. It promises gentle advice and it would look wrong on anything aggressive. Parenting was chosen as an industry 437 times on LOGO.com this past year, another quiet corner where a soft name would land well. Steal the recipe: use a noun that describes how you will sound, not just what you will cover.

Fashion Flow

The plainest name of the twelve and the easiest to find in a search bar, which is not nothing. Flow adds just enough movement to stop it being a category label. Names this literal are undervalued because they look easy, but they are the ones readers remember without trying. The word photo turns up in 3,032 name searches on our generator, and the same rule applies there. Steal the recipe: plain plus one soft word beats clever plus confusing.

Cozy Canvas

Canvas is doing three jobs at once. It is a fabric, it is something you paint on, and it is a blank space to fill, which is what a blog is on day one. Cozy narrows all three to interiors. The word chronicle appears in only 93 wordmarks across our whole platform, so the old fashioned publication words are still sitting there unused. Steal the recipe: find a noun with three meanings and let the adjective choose which one.

Every one of these came out of the same place you are about to use. Put your topic and your reader into the blog name generator and you get twenty back in that direction, each with a logo already drawn and a domain already checked.

Don't get stuck with a forgettable blog name

A blog name has to work as a domain, as a handle on four platforms, in a search result next to nine others, in somebody's email signature when they recommend you, and on the cover of whatever you write next. Run your shortlist through these five checks before you buy anything.

  1. Easy to Say

  2. Easy to Remember

  3. Easy to Search

  4. Easy to Own

  5. Easy to Grow

500+ Blog Name Ideas by Niche

According to LOGO.com data, blog was chosen as a business industry 97,548 times in the twelve months to September 2026, which puts it among the largest categories on the platform. The word blog appears in only 446 of the 566,847 wordmarks founders put on logos in the same period. Founders name what the blog is about, not what it is, so the 525 ideas below are sorted by niche rather than by format.

Lifestyle blog names

Lifestyle was chosen as a business industry 5,793 times on LOGO.com this past year, which is smaller than most people expect for a category this broad. A lifestyle blog name has to be roomy enough to cover anything you feel like writing about, so these lean on mood and pace rather than subject.

Tech blog names

Tech as an exact industry choice is surprisingly small on our platform at 2,712 selections, because almost everybody writes something more specific instead. A tech blog name should do the same, which is why these lean on the act of using the thing rather than the category.

How to name a blog, from the first post to the first thousand readers

Founders ran 388,686 business name searches on LOGO.com in the twelve months to September 2026 and kept 89,959 of the names that came back. Only 292 of those searches mention the word blog, which is the first useful thing to know: almost nobody who names a blog thinks of it as naming a blog. They think of it as naming a food thing, a money thing, a travel thing. That instinct is correct, and this is how to follow it properly.

Start with who the reader is, not what you write about

Topic is the obvious starting point and it is the weaker one, because every blog in your niche shares it. Reader is narrower and far more distinctive. A food blog for people cooking for one is a different name from a food blog for people feeding four. Write one sentence describing the person who will read this at eleven at night, then underline the two or three concrete words in it. Those are the words that belong in the name. If your sentence is full of abstractions like community, journey or inspiration, you have described nobody and the name will describe nobody either.

The three blog name styles that work

The first is subject plus format, like Palate Pages or The Training Log, where one word says what you cover and the other says what you produce. It is the safest style and the easiest to find in a search bar. The second is the stated point of view, like Wear It Twice or Rest Is Productive, which tells a reader what you believe before they read a word and gives you an editorial line to hold to. The third is the plain phrase, like Dirt Under Nails or The School Run, borrowed straight from the life you are writing about. All three beat a pun. Pick your style before you pick your words, because a name that is halfway between two of them reads as indecision.

Check the domain and the handles before you fall in love

A blog name is more tied to its domain than almost any other kind of business name, because the domain is the product. Check it first, not last. Then check the handle on every platform you might use, because a blog whose name is taken on three of them ends up with four slightly different names and readers who cannot find it. Search the exact phrase too. If a larger site already ranks for those words, you will spend years competing against them for your own name. Our generator runs the domain check while you browse, which is the fastest way to kill a name before you get attached.

Name it so it survives changing your mind

Most blogs that last change subject at least once. Budgeting becomes family finance, one city becomes many, a hobby becomes a job. A name tied to your current age, a single city or a specific number will date before the writing does. Once you have one that travels, give it a real identity in the same sitting: run it through the logo maker for a header and a favicon, add a line underneath it with the slogan generator, and buy the domain before you announce it anywhere. If what you are naming turns out to be a company rather than a blog, start from the business name generator instead.

Methodology. Every figure on this page comes from LOGO.com first party product data measured in Mixpanel, for the twelve months from September 2025 to September 2026. Search figures count what founders typed into our business name generator, across 314,625 searches where the wording was recorded, and industry figures count the terms founders selected in the industry field when they built a brand. Where a term is also part of other trades, such as food and travel, the exact match figure is quoted rather than the broader one. The word counts come from the wordmarks on the 566,847 logos founders created in the same period, and the nine word counts overlap by design, because one name can contain several of the words. No percentage appears anywhere in the body copy. Source: LOGO.com first party product data, September 2026.

"I have never attempted developing a logo or other marketing products, and am no expert at navigating new computer software. That being said, I not only found the software easy to navigate and learn, but the end product was more than I had hoped for. The help team at logo.com was highly responsive and willing to help with any questions I had in a clear and rapid manner. I am very pleased with the team at logo.com and the products I created. I highly recommend their service!"

"LOGO.com is an amazing resource. It helped me create a professional-looking logo for my business that received more praise than logos I've paid designers to create for me in the past. The site is very easy to use, walks you through every step, and gives you control over the entire creation process."
