What makes these 12 Etsy shop name ideas work

Every name below was generated on LOGO.com and picked by a real founder selling handmade or craft products, which is to say by exactly the kind of seller who opens an Etsy shop. Here is why each one earns its keep on a shop banner, and the pattern you can steal for your own Etsy shop.

Amber Hearth

The single most selected name across every craft search on the platform, and it works because both words are warm without either being a product. A colour that is also a material, and a place that is also a feeling. Cozy appears in more than 400 business names founders created on LOGO.com, so the mood route is well travelled by makers, and this name takes it without ever saying cozy. That matters on Etsy, where a shop banner has to set a feeling before a buyer reads a single listing. Steal the recipe: a warm colour plus a word for the centre of a home.

Handmade Haven

The most selected name among founders searching for craft names on our generator, and the only one in the twelve that uses the category word outright. It works because Haven does the emotional half of the job while Handmade does the search engine half, and handmade is the word Etsy buyers type when they are looking for a shop like yours. Steal the recipe: your category word plus a shelter word.

Crochet Creations

Plain, literal, and the most selected name in the entire crochet pool, which tells you something useful about how buyers browse. Crochet was chosen as a business industry more than 4,100 times on LOGO.com this past year. Those crocheters are the ones filling Etsy shops with blankets and plushies, so there is real volume behind the plain approach. Steal the recipe: your craft plus a word that means the things you made.

Artisan Alley

It borrows the geography of a market street without claiming an address, which is exactly the trick a shop with no physical door needs, and an Etsy shop is the purest version of that problem. Corner appears in nearly 800 business names created on LOGO.com, another sign that makers reach for place words even when there is no place. Steal the recipe: a maker word plus a small street word.

Saffron & Sol

A jewelry shop name built from a spice and a sun, neither of which is a metal or a stone. LOGO.com data shows jewelry was chosen as a business industry more than 25,000 times this past year, which makes it the most crowded craft category on the platform, and jewelry is one of the most crowded categories on Etsy too. The way out of a crowd is to stop naming the product. Steal the recipe: a warm ingredient plus a light word, joined by an ampersand.

Chic Charms

Two words, one alliteration, and a product word that is also a personality word. Charm appears in more than 300 business names founders created on our generator, so the double meaning is doing real work here, and it gives an Etsy shop a name that describes the buyer as much as the bracelet. Steal the recipe: a style adjective plus a piece of what you actually sell.

Ethereal Elegance

The only name in the twelve that describes the feeling of wearing the thing rather than the thing itself. It was picked by founders searching in the jewelry pool on LOGO.com, and it is the shape of name that lets an Etsy shop raise its prices without changing its listings. Steal the recipe: two abstract nouns that share a first letter.

Wick & Wash

A candle and soap shop in three syllables, covering both product lines without listing either as a category. Candle was chosen as a business industry more than 5,900 times on LOGO.com this past year while soap cleared 2,400, and those two trades share a shelf constantly, so the combined Etsy shop is a genuinely common shape. Steal the recipe: one object from each product line, joined by an ampersand.

Crafty Creations

It sounds like a market stall in the best way, and it is one of the most selected names in the craft pool on the platform. Craft businesses were chosen as an industry more than 31,000 times on LOGO.com this past year, the largest block of makers on the platform, and that is the same crowd your Etsy shop is listing alongside. Steal the recipe: an adjective made from your craft plus the plural of what you make.

Canvas & Cut

The most selected name in the sticker pool, and it names the two halves of the process instead of the product. Sticker shops were chosen as a business industry nearly 1,000 times on our generator this past year, and almost none of those names describe the machine, which is the right call for an Etsy shop that might sell prints and cards next season. Steal the recipe: your surface plus your process.

Sparkle Spruce

An invented pairing that reads like a scent and a tree at the same time, which is why it survives being applied to prints, ornaments, or anything seasonal, and seasonal range is how most Etsy shops actually grow. Spark and its family appear in more than 900 business names created on LOGO.com. Steal the recipe: a light word plus a tree.

Petal & Pebble

Soft thing, hard thing, both small enough to hold. It was selected by founders searching in both the handmade pool and the jewelry pool on the platform, which makes it the most portable name in the twelve and the safest bet for an Etsy shop still deciding what it sells. Petal appears in more than 170 business names founders created on LOGO.com and pebble in far fewer, so the pairing is still uncrowded. Steal the recipe: one soft natural object plus one hard one.

Notice the pattern: two short words, one concrete and one warm, an ampersand doing the joining, and never the marketplace name. When you have your own shortlist, run it through the Etsy shop name generator to check the domain before you open the shop.

The Top 9 Words Behind The Best Etsy Shop Names

Craft

Measured on the 3,138 handmade shop name searches run on LOGO.com this past year, craft is the word founders pair with handmade most often, appearing in 18.3 percent of them. Those searches come from makers rather than from marketplaces, and makers are who fills Etsy, so if your shop lists more than one thing, craft is the word that holds it together.

Jewelry

Second, in 10.7 percent of handmade name searches on our generator. Jewelry is the most crowded craft category on the platform and it is a crowded category on Etsy too, so let the second word in your shop name do the differentiating.

Gift

Third, in 7.3 percent. Naming the occasion rather than the object is the cheapest way to widen an Etsy shop without changing a thing about what you make.

Small

Fourth, in 6.8 percent, and more than half of those searches say small business outright. Makers are proud of the scale, and small is exactly what an Etsy buyer is choosing over a big box listing, so let the name say it.

Crochet

Fifth, in 6.5 percent, which is remarkable for a single technique. Crochet buyers browse by craft rather than by product, which is how Etsy search works too, and the naming vocabulary is nowhere near used up.

Shop

Sixth, in 5.8 percent. Shop is the plainest word here and it appears in more than 6,500 business names founders created on LOGO.com, which is why it still reads right across the top of an Etsy shop banner.

Candle

Seventh, in 4.9 percent. Candles pair with almost anything, which is why so many candle shops on Etsy end up selling soap as well, and why the name should leave room for it.

Home

Eighth, in 4.3 percent, and roughly two in five of those searches say home decor specifically. It is the category that lets an Etsy shop sell one big object at a big price instead of thirty small ones.

Cute

Ninth, in 3.6 percent, and the only pure tone word in the nine. Founders who add cute to the description get a softer, rounder name set back, which suits an Etsy shop selling stickers or baby goods far better than one selling ceramics.

Don't get stuck with a forgettable Etsy shop name

Your Etsy shop name goes on the shop banner, the packaging, the thank you card, the review a buyer leaves at midnight, and the link you paste into every reel. Make sure it checks these boxes before you open the shop.

  1. Easy to Say

A buyer has to be able to tell a friend about your Etsy shop out loud. If it needs spelling out, it needs changing.

  2. Easy to Remember

The best Etsy shop names stick after one order. Short, concrete words beat clever spellings every time.

  3. Easy to Search

Buyers look for you by name after they see one photo in their feed. Avoid a name that lands you behind a bigger shop selling something else.

  4. Easy to Own

Check the domain, the social handles, and the trademark register before you print packaging, and keep the marketplace trademark out of your own name. Our generator shows domain availability on every name.

  5. Easy to Grow

A name tied to one product or one technique can box you in when you add a second line, a wholesale account, or your own website beyond Etsy. Pick something that survives your next product launch.

500+ Etsy Shop Name Ideas by Product Type and Style

According to LOGO.com data, handmade and craft businesses were chosen as an industry more than 36,000 times this past year, with jewelry adding more than 25,000 selections on top, home decor more than 10,200, and candles more than 5,900. Those are the trades that fill Etsy shops. Sellers describe their industry by what they make rather than by the marketplace they list on, so the words a handmade founder reaches for are the words that work on an Etsy shop banner, and that is why the lists below are organised by product type. Start with what you make, then borrow the patterns you like.

Ceramics and pottery shop names

Pottery was chosen as a business industry more than 1,100 times on our generator this past year, comfortably ahead of ceramic, and a pottery shop on Etsy is usually one maker and one kiln, so the name should sound like a studio and never like a factory.

Digital download and print on demand Etsy shop names

An Etsy shop name has to work in three places at once: in a search result next to forty other shops selling the same thing, on a padded envelope a buyer opens on their doorstep, and in a sentence one friend says to another. LOGO.com data shows founders ran 397,841 business name searches on our generator in the past year and selected 91,659 names, and 3,138 of those searches described something handmade. Those handmade searches are the ones worth studying if you sell on Etsy, because they come from the same people opening shops there. Here is what all that naming activity teaches.

Decide what you actually sell before you name anything

Etsy sellers do not describe themselves by the marketplace, they describe themselves by the craft, and our own data shows it plainly. On LOGO.com only 295 name searches this past year mentioned Etsy at all, while handmade appeared in 3,138 and craft in nearly 5,000. Industry selections tell the same story even louder, with craft clearing 31,000 and handmade clearing 11,500. Read that the right way round: it does not mean few sellers are on Etsy, it means the people opening Etsy shops file themselves under handmade jewelry or crochet or candles instead. So the craft vocabulary is the vocabulary that works, and a name built around the marketplace ages badly the moment you open your own website while also dragging a third party trademark into your brand. Name the craft, not the channel.

The three name styles that work for Etsy shops

First, the category name: your craft or product plus a warm noun, like Handmade Haven or Crochet Creations. It is the plainest route and it is the most selected route in our data, and it is the one that helps a browsing buyer place your shop in a second. Second, the pair name: two short concrete words joined by an ampersand, like Petal & Pebble, Wick & Wash, or Canvas & Cut, and this is the dominant shape among the twelve most selected names on this page. Third, the mood name: two words that never mention the product at all, like Amber Hearth or Ethereal Elegance, which is the shape that lets a shop change what it lists without changing what it is called. Makers lean into mood harder than they admit, putting bloom into more than 1,100 business names created on LOGO.com, glow into more than 1,500, and cozy into more than 400.

Skip the marketplace name and the plural

Two sizing notes, both counterintuitive, and both drawn from the names makers actually created. First, the singular beats the plural badly: shop appears in more than 6,500 business names created on the platform while shops appears in double figures, a gap of roughly 66 to one, and boutique beats boutiques by roughly 54 to one. On Etsy the plural reads like a chain rather than like one person at a work table. Studio is the one exception, where studios genuinely competes at roughly one in five. Second, the definite article is far rarer than founders expect, appearing in roughly one in forty six of the shop names created on our generator. If you want a suffix, note that the abbreviation holds its own: Co. appears in more than 2,600 business names created on LOGO.com against Company at more than 1,800, and the ampersand form, & Co, clears 1,200.

Lock it down before you open the shop

Check the domain first, it is the quickest signal that a name is ownable, and our Etsy shop name generator shows availability live. Then check your national business registry and the federal trademark database, because craft and Etsy shop names collide constantly around words like Bloom, Charm, Craft, and Haven. Keep third party trademarks out of your own shop name, including the name of the marketplace you sell on. When it clears, register the domain, claim the handles, and put the logo maker to work on your banner, your hang tags, and your packaging. If you need a line for the shop banner, the slogan generator is free, and everything links back to your business name generator brand kit. Printing on apparel? The clothing brand generator covers that. Selling baked goods at markets too? Try the bakery name generator. Opening a bricks and mortar counter later? The cafe name generator is built for that. Growing or raising what you sell? The farm name generator covers it.

Methodology: data in this article comes from anonymized, aggregated LOGO.com product usage in a single twelve month window, July 31 2025 to July 31 2026, including 397,841 name generator searches and 681,966 logos created. No figure on this page is a measurement of Etsy or of Etsy sellers. Every figure is a measurement of the handmade and craft businesses founders named on LOGO.com, which we treat as the closest available proxy for Etsy shop naming because sellers select their industry by what they make rather than by the marketplace they list on. The nine most used words were measured on the handmade base, meaning name searches whose prompt contained the word handmade, a base of 3,138 searches, and NOT on the etsy base. Handmade was chosen as the base term because the word Etsy appeared in only 295 searches in the window, along with 116 industry selections and 63 name picks, which is far too small to support a percentage, a ranking, or a most popular claim, and because handmade is a clean substring while craft carries matches like minecraft and aircraft. Craft industry figures exclude minecraft, aircraft, craftsman, witchcraft, craft beer, craft brewery, watercraft, and spacecraft matches. Industry figures count industry selections on LOGO.com, which are events, not unique people, so one founder can appear more than once. Name counts reflect words appearing in business names founders created over the same period, matched as substrings, and the definite article check used a trailing space on "the " so that words like there and them are not counted. LOGO.com is not affiliated with Etsy. Source: LOGO.com first party product data, July 2026.
