Top 12 Shopify Store Name Ideas From Real Founders

These are real names founders generated and picked on LOGO.com in the past year, drawn from the 32 name selections that came from a prompt mentioning Shopify. The list is deliberately not ranked, and here that is a statement of fact rather than a style choice: every one of those 32 names was picked exactly once, so there is no order to give you. Four more were left out because they collided with an existing retail chain or used the Shopify trademark itself. What the pool does show is that a good store name is almost always two short words, one of them a thing you can picture.

What makes these 12 Shopify store name ideas work for businesses

Every name below was generated on LOGO.com and picked by a real founder naming a Shopify store. Here is why each one earns its keep, and the pattern you can steal for your own shop.

Nook & Nest

Nook appears in 148 business names founders created on LOGO.com this past year, which makes it rare enough to still feel like a find. Pairing it with Nest gives you alliteration and a promise of small comfortable things, which is exactly what a home decor shop sells. Steal the recipe: two small cosy nouns joined by an ampersand is the most reliable home store formula there is.

Decorly

One word, five letters of a category word plus a soft suffix, and the domain problem is solved before it starts. It reads modern without being invented from nothing. Steal the recipe: take your category word, cut it short, and add ly or ery to make it ownable.

HomeEssence

Two ordinary words fused into one, which is what makes the handle available. Essence does the work that Decor cannot, because it promises a feeling rather than a product type and therefore never boxes the range in. Steal the recipe: fuse a category word to an abstract one and check the handle immediately.

Willow Goods

Goods turns up in 286 business names created on LOGO.com, and it is the most useful business word in ecommerce because it commits to nothing. Willow makes it specific, natural and quiet. Steal the recipe: a plant or tree word in front of Goods works for almost any physical product shop.

Chic Cache

Two words most people already know from fashion, joined by a hard C sound twice. Cache means a hidden store of valuable things, which is a genuinely clever thing for a curated shop to call itself. Steal the recipe: look for a word that literally means a collection and use it instead of Shop.

Style Stride

Shoe appears in 118 of the 7,628 store name searches on our generator, and Style Stride is what a founder writes when footwear is the whole business. Both words move, which suits a category people buy to walk in. Steal the recipe: pick verbs and motion words when the product is worn.

Orion Outfitters

Outfitters is an old retail word that no online store has worn out yet, and Orion gives it a sky to sit under without naming a mountain range anyone else has claimed. Steal the recipe: a constellation, a river or a ridge in front of a trade word buys you scale for free.

RoamWear Studio

Wear as a suffix is doing the same job as Goods, and Roam tells you the clothes are for going somewhere. Studio is the third word and it is the one you could drop later. Steal the recipe: build the name so the last word is expendable, because you will want to drop it eventually.

Petal & Paw

The softest name in the twelve and the one with the clearest customer. Petal has nothing to do with pets, which is what stops it sounding like every other paw print shop. Steal the recipe: put one unrelated pretty word next to your category word and the whole name stops being generic.

Trail Treasures

Alliteration plus a promise of discovery, which is what an outdoor gear shop is really selling. Treasures is a word most founders would reject as too whimsical, and it works because Trail grounds it. Steal the recipe: one whimsical word plus one concrete word beats two of either.

Two words that name the whole business model, screen to shirt, in four syllables. It could not be more literal and it does not need to be, because a print on demand customer is looking for exactly this. Steal the recipe: when your customer is searching for the service, say the service.

AutoJet Gadgets

Phone case stores and car accessory stores account for 969 industry selections on LOGO.com between them, and Gadgets is the word that keeps the shelf wide open. AutoJet says fast and mechanical in one compound. Steal the recipe: a made up compound plus a plain plural noun is the classic accessory shop shape.

Read the twelve for their shapes rather than their words, then put your own store type or keyword through the name generator above.

500+ Shopify Store Name Ideas by Niche

According to LOGO.com data, ecommerce was chosen as a business industry 116,849 times by founders building a brand in the past twelve months, which makes it the single largest category on the platform. Almost none of those founders described themselves by their platform, they described themselves by what they sell. That is the useful instinct, and it is how the 525 ideas below are grouped, so you can start with your own niche and steal freely from the ones either side of it.

Clothing and fashion store names

Clothing was chosen as a business industry 54,491 times on LOGO.com this past year, which makes it the biggest single niche any store can open in and the hardest to sound new in. The names below lean on cloth, cut and construction rather than on the word fashion.

What makes LOGO.com the best Shopify Name Generator

How to name a Shopify store, from your first product to your first order

Founders have run 381,111 business name searches on LOGO.com in the past twelve months and picked a name 87,395 times. Reading back the picks that came from a store prompt is the fastest naming education available, because these are the names people actually committed to before they paid for a domain.

Name the shop, never the platform

The first rule is the easiest one to get wrong. Your customer will never see the word Shopify, so it has no business being in the name, and our own data suggests founders already know this: only 154 business name searches in twelve months mentioned Shopify at all. Name what you sell and who you sell it to. Apparel accounts for 12,267 industry selections on LOGO.com and accessories for 11,622, which tells you how many founders arrive with a clear niche already, and a niche is a much better naming brief than a platform. If you are not sure which niche you are in yet, start broad with the business name generator and narrow from there.

The three name shapes that actually work

Two small nouns joined by an ampersand, like Nook and Nest or Petal and Paw, which reads warm and never dates. A category word plus a soft suffix, like Decorly, which solves the domain problem in one move because nobody else has coined it. And a made up compound plus a plain noun, like AutoJet Gadgets or RoamWear Studio, which is the classic accessory and apparel shape. Avoid the fourth shape, which is a description of your first product: thrift stores account for 1,561 industry selections on our generator and a shop called after one rail of clothes is the commonest thing those founders have to rename. The generator will produce a full set of each shape if you ask it to.

Test it on a customer, not on a friend

Say the name out loud and see whether the other person can find it without you spelling it. Type it into a search engine and look at who owns page one already, because that is who you will be buying ads against. Write it on a packing slip in your head and check it still looks like a shop. Then say it to somebody who actually buys the thing you sell, because a friend will say it sounds nice and a customer will tell you whether they would click it.

Lock it down before the first order

Check the domain while you are still choosing, because a store without a matching domain loses the search it created. Search your national trademark register properly, since store names collide more often than almost any other kind. Then get the rest of the brand out of the way in one sitting: the logo maker draws the mark you will need for the storefront and the favicon, the slogan generator gives you the line for the header, and the domain check tells you whether the whole thing is free before you commit.

Methodology. Every figure on this page comes from LOGO.com product data for the twelve months ending 9 September 2026, measured in Mixpanel, and each one is labelled with the pool it came from because this page draws on three. The Shopify pool is the 154 business name searches whose prompt contains the word Shopify, which produced 32 name selections, and it is used only for the founder picks and the scale comparison. The store pool is the 7,628 searches whose prompt contains the word store, and it is the base for the Top 9 Words block, which is why that block is headed Online Store Names rather than Shopify Store Names. Those nine words overlap, so only online and clothing are published as shares and the rest as counts. Industry figures count how often a phrase appeared in the industry a founder chose. Where a term hides inside a longer unrelated word the host was measured and subtracted, which is why the market, store, hub and luxe figures are quoted net rather than raw, and why the shop, cart and chic figures are quoted as approximations. Several promising figures were discarded rather than published. The word shop occurs alongside 100 percent of Shopify searches, which is not a behaviour but an artifact of the letters s h o p sitting inside the word Shopify. The industry total for shop reached 85,750 and could not be cleaned, because repair shop, auto shop, tattoo shop and print shop all carry the stem. The word art looked like the fourth most common word in the store pool at 337 mentions until start, smart and cart accounted for a third of it. And no icon statistic appears anywhere, because founders whose profile industry mentions Shopify have changed a logo icon zero times in this window, while the wider ecommerce cohort spread 2,902 icon changes across 2,102 different icons, which is no preference at all. The founder picks are names generated in our name generator and then selected by the person who generated them, and several were excluded for colliding with an existing retail chain, for using the Shopify trademark, or for being common English phrases no shop could own.

"After forming an LLC, I didn't know where to go to create a logo and assets for my website. Then I found LOGO.com. They created a selection of logos for me to choose from in all the sizes I needed. In addition, LOGO.com provided me with a set of branding materials for my website and social media presence. The process is easy, fast, and requires no processional design experience."

"I have never attempted developing a logo or other marketing products, and am no expert at navigating new computer software. That being said, I not only found the software easy to navigate and learn, but the end product was more than I had hoped for. The help team at logo.com was highly responsive and willing to help with any questions I had in a clear and rapid manner. I am very pleased with the team at logo.com and the products I created. I highly recommend their service!"

"LOGO.com is an amazing resource. It helped me create a professional-looking logo for my business that received more praise than logos I've paid designers to create for me in the past. The site is very easy to use, walks you through every step, and gives you control over the entire creation process."
