Top 12 Podcast Name Ideas From Real Founders

These are real names founders generated and picked on LOGO.com in the past year, drawn from the 72 name selections that came from a prompt mentioning a podcast. The list is not ranked, and on this page that matters: those 72 selections spread across 64 distinct names, and the top name was picked four times by what looks like one person working through a family of very similar ideas. Several more were left out because they borrow an existing show, a film universe or somebody else's trademark. What the pool does show is the shape that works, which is one specific word plus one word that says show.

What makes these 12 podcast name ideas work for businesses

Every name below was generated on LOGO.com and picked by a real founder naming a show. Here is why each one earns its keep, and the pattern you can steal for your own podcast.

EchoCast

Echo appears in 497 business names founders created on LOGO.com this past year, which makes it uncommon enough to still feel chosen rather than defaulted to. Fusing it to Cast produces one word, one domain and one handle. Steal the recipe: an audio word plus Cast, joined with no space, is the most reliable podcast name shape there is.

Verbal Velocity

Signal turns up in 158 business names created on LOGO.com, and Verbal Velocity is what you write when you want that energy without the engineering. Two hard V sounds make it stick and neither word names a topic, so the show can be about anything. Steal the recipe: alliteration buys you memorability, and vague buys you room to change subject.

Blitz Broadcast

Broadcast was written into the industry field 360 times by founders on LOGO.com this past year, which makes it rarer than you would guess in a medium built on it. Blitz supplies the speed that Broadcast alone does not, and the two hard consonants make the name easy to say at the top of an episode. Steal the recipe: put a fast word in front of the medium word and the name stops sounding like a radio station.

JoyJunction Cast

An invented compound in front and Cast at the back, which is the reverse of EchoCast and works for the same reason. Junction promises more than one voice, which suits an interview show. Steal the recipe: if your first word is made up, your last word has to be obvious.

Story Saga

Story appears in about 730 business names created on LOGO.com once history and storage are stripped out of the count, and it is the word every narrative show reaches for. Saga is what stops it being generic, because it promises length and stakes. Steal the recipe: pair the obvious word with a word that raises the ambition.

Chapter Chat

Notes appears in 190 business names founders created on LOGO.com, and Chapter Chat does the same job in a friendlier way. Two hard C sounds, one word for books and one for conversation, and a listener knows the format before the first episode. Steal the recipe: name the thing you discuss plus the way you discuss it.

Popcorn Mic

Show sits in 356 business names created on LOGO.com once showroom, showcase and shower are removed, and Popcorn Mic sidesteps all of it. One word puts you in a cinema and the other puts you in a booth, which is exactly what a film review show is. Steal the recipe: one word for the subject and one word for the medium.

Edible Episodes

Alliteration again, and Episodes is doing the same work as Cast without sounding like every other show. It also survives being about restaurants one week and home cooking the next. Steal the recipe: Episodes is the most underused show word available, so use it before everybody else does.

The Final Whistle

A phrase every sports fan already knows, borrowed whole and used as a name. There is nothing clever in it and that is the strength, because a listener does not have to decode anything. Steal the recipe: a phrase from inside your subject beats an invented word almost every time.

Circuit Chronicles Pod

Three words is one more than ideal and it earns the third, because Pod is what turns a tech magazine title into a show. Circuit and Chronicles set up the beat and the format. Steal the recipe: if the first two words could belong to a newsletter, add the show word.

Tune Tempo

Two music words, four syllables, and it never explains which genre, which is right for a show that will cover several. Both words are common and the pairing is not, which is the cheapest way to be ownable. Steal the recipe: two ordinary words from your own field, put next to each other for the first time.

Worship Waves

Waves is doing double duty, as water and as sound, which is a genuinely elegant thing for a faith show by the sea or otherwise. Worship is unambiguous about the audience. Steal the recipe: look for a word that means two things at once, one of them audio.

Read the twelve for their shapes rather than their words, then put your own topic or keyword through the name generator above.

500+ Podcast Name Ideas by Genre

According to LOGO.com data, podcasting was chosen as a business industry 7,001 times by founders building a brand in the past twelve months, which is about one in every 650 industry selections on the platform. That makes it a real business category rather than a hobby category, and it also makes it a small one next to the subjects podcasters cover, since technology, education and health are each many times larger. The 525 ideas below are grouped by genre, so you can start with your own subject and steal freely from the genres either side of it.

True crime podcast names

Vault appears in 580 business names founders created on LOGO.com this past year, and true crime shows reach for container words like it more than any other genre. The convention here is restraint: one cold noun, no adjectives, and let the listener supply the dread.

Business and startup podcast names

Business coaching was chosen as an industry 675 times on LOGO.com over the past twelve months. Business show names work best when they promise a specific stage rather than success in general, because a founder at month three and a founder at year six are looking for different things.

Health and wellness podcast names

What makes LOGO.com the best Podcast Name Generator

Built from real data

Suggestions are shaped by hundreds of thousands of real founder searches, not a random word mixer.

Made for podcasters

Describe your topic, your listener, or the format you record in and the names lean into your kind of show.

A fit score on every name

Each suggestion carries a score for how well it matches the show you described.

Every name explains itself

You get a short reason the name works, so you are not guessing at why it landed.

A tagline with every name

Every name arrives with a line you could read out in your intro.

Style tags at a glance

Tags tell you instantly whether a name reads serious, playful, plain or premium.

20 names per round

Each round returns twenty options, enough to see a pattern without drowning in it.

More like this

Point at one name you like and the next round narrows towards it instead of starting over.

Favorites that follow you

Shortlist as you go and your picks stay with you across rounds.

Compare mode

Put your finalists side by side and the weak one usually announces itself.

Live domain availability

Every name is checked against real domain availability while you browse, which matters because a show needs a home page.

Domain prices upfront

You see what the domain actually costs before you fall in love with the name.

Instant logo previews

A logo is already drawn for every name, so you can see it as cover art rather than as text.

See it on a website

Preview the name on a real website layout before you decide.

See it on a business card

Check how it reads on a card you would hand a guest.

See it on social

See the name as a profile, because most shows are found on social before any directory.

Four naming styles

Switch between descriptive, invented, compound and personal name styles in one click.

A length slider

Pull names shorter or longer depending on how much room the cover art has.

An abstractness slider

Move from plainly descriptive to fully invented and watch the shortlist change character.

A tone slider

Shift the whole set from serious and journalistic to warm and casual.

Category control

Ask for true crime names, comedy names, business names or interview names specifically.

Free to use

Generate as many rounds as you like and check domains without paying anything.

A free logo included

A logo comes with every name at no cost, ready to use as cover art.

The whole brand in one place

Name, logo, domain, website and business card all come from the same place, so nothing has to be rebuilt later.

How to name a podcast, from your first episode to your first thousand listeners

Founders have run 381,199 business name searches on LOGO.com in the past twelve months and picked a name 87,458 times. Reading back the picks that came from a podcast prompt is the fastest naming education available, because those are the names people actually committed to before they hit record.

Name the show, not the subject

The most common podcast naming mistake is using the subject as the name, which works for exactly as long as your interests stay still. Written out in full, talk show appears 324 times as a chosen industry on LOGO.com and true crime only 62, which tells you founders describe the FORMAT far more readily than the GENRE, and format is the safer thing to name because it does not expire. Decide what stays constant about your show, the two hosts, the weekly hour, the interview, the argument, and name that instead. If you are not sure yet, start broad with the business name generator and narrow from there.

The three name shapes that actually work

An audio word fused to Cast, like EchoCast, which gives you one word and one available handle. A specific noun plus a show word, like Popcorn Mic or Chapter Chat, which tells a listener the subject and the format in two words. And a phrase borrowed whole from inside your subject, like The Final Whistle, which needs no explaining to anyone already interested. Avoid the fourth shape, which is two abstract words with no audio cue at all: we screened nineteen founder picks through our own logo generator for this page and the ones that came back wrong were almost all two abstract words, while every name containing Cast, Mic, Episodes or Chat came back right first time. The generator will produce a full set of each shape if you ask it to.

Test it in a directory, not on a friend

Search the name in a podcast app before anything else, because you are competing inside a search box you do not control and a name shared with three existing shows is a name that sends your listeners to them. Say it out loud as your own intro, twenty times, and see whether you still like it. Check it reads at thumbnail size, because cover art is the smallest canvas any brand gets. Then say it to somebody who listens to shows like yours, because a friend will say it sounds nice and a listener will tell you whether they would tap it.

Lock it down before episode one

Check the domain while you are still choosing, since a show without a home page loses every search it creates. Search your national trademark register, because show names collide constantly and directories will not police it for you. Then get the rest of the brand out of the way in one sitting: the logo maker draws the mark that becomes your cover art, the slogan generator gives you the line for your description, and the domain check tells you whether the whole thing is free before you publish.

Methodology. Every figure on this page comes from LOGO.com product data for the twelve months ending 9 September 2026, measured in Mixpanel. The podcast search pool is the 345 business name searches whose prompt contains the word podcast, which produced 72 name selections across 64 distinct names. That pool is genuinely small, so it is used only for the founder picks and for the single figure of 29 searches pairing podcast with talk. The Top 9 Words block is therefore sourced from a different measurement, the words appearing inside the 582,327 business names founders created on the platform, and each body says so in the sentence carrying its number. The word podcast itself was checked for substring contamination rather than assumed clean: podcaster returns 1 search and podcasting 0. Where a term hides inside a longer unrelated word the host was measured and subtracted, which is why the cast, show, wave, chat and radio figures are quoted net rather than raw, and why the story figure is quoted as about 730. Several promising figures were discarded rather than published. Microphone is the defining object of this medium and the word mic turned out to be the dirtiest stem measured, at 1,800 raw with comic, ceramic, dynamic, academic, atomic, economic, micro and cosmic accounting for roughly two thirds of it, so no mic figure appears anywhere. The word loud reached 700 until 636 of those turned out to be cloud. The wordmarks real, tale, table, log and lab were all abandoned for the same reason, log especially, since on a logo maker platform the letters l o g are unusable. No icon statistic appears either, because 555 icon changes by podcast founders came from only 44 people and spread across 454 different icons. The founder picks are names generated in our name generator and then selected by the person who generated them. Several were excluded: five sharing one distinctive first word, which was one account iterating rather than a popular name, four colliding with existing shows or media brands, two borrowing a film universe, and three that were not suitable for a general audience page.

I am very pleased with the outcome, and I couldn't have achieved the same standard on my own. I highly recommend this to any start-up business looking to set up its brand identity or any established business looking to get its brand an upgrade!"

"After forming an LLC, I didn't know where to go to create a logo and assets for my website. Then I found LOGO.com. They created a selection of logos for me to choose from in all the sizes I needed. In addition, LOGO.com provided me with a set of branding materials for my website and social media presence. The process is easy, fast, and requires no processional design experience."

"I have never attempted developing a logo or other marketing products, and am no expert at navigating new computer software. That being said, I not only found the software easy to navigate and learn, but the end product was more than I had hoped for. The help team at logo.com was highly responsive and willing to help with any questions I had in a clear and rapid manner. I am very pleased with the team at logo.com and the products I created. I highly recommend their service!"

"LOGO.com is an amazing resource. It helped me create a professional-looking logo for my business that received more praise than logos I've paid designers to create for me in the past. The site is very easy to use, walks you through every step, and gives you control over the entire creation process."
