According to LOGO.com data, the five most popular colors in holiday logos created on LOGO.com over the past 12 months were white at 25%, black at 15%, blue at 13%, green at 11%, and red at 8%. White and black together accounted for 40% of color choices, giving holiday marks a bright base and clear contrast, while blue, green, and red bring cool winter tones and familiar seasonal warmth. For a holiday logo that works on gift tags, storefronts, and social profiles, begin with a white or black base and use one saturated accent to make the name easy to spot.
Snowflakes are an easy starting point because their branching lines stay recognizable at small sizes and can turn into a starburst above the wordmark. Ornaments bring a round, cheerful shape that pairs well with a ribbon curl placed beside it, while a wreath can be suggested with a loose arc of evergreen sprigs. Candles and their flames offer a calm, welcoming mark, and bells or stockings can add a more playful shop feeling. Try a reindeer in a leaping pose for motion, or a simple tree with one bright star beside it. To make the symbol feel personal, draw from the shop owner’s favorite winter tradition, local market, or family gathering.
That same clear contrast can keep holiday lettering bright and readable. According to LOGO.com data, sans serif styles appeared in 60% of font category choices in those same holiday logos over the past 12 months, followed by display at 17%, serif at 16%, and handwriting at 8%. The leading individual fonts were Geologica at 11%, Schibsted Grotesk and Open Sans at 9% each, Afacad at 6%, and Antic Didone at 3%. Choose simple lettering on a white or black base and add one bright green or red accent so seasonal wording stays clear on a gift tag or storefront sign.
