Building a future for your children most often begins with the dream of a college education, but the path to getting there is more complicated than ever. Between shifting admissions landscapes and intricate financial regulations, many families find themselves overwhelmed and frustrated.

Today, we’re featuring Greg Stevens, a LOGO.com customer and founder of Genesis College Strategies. As a financial advisor since 2004, Greg is on a mission to ensure that families don’t just get their students into the college of their dreams, but do so without being taken advantage of by rules families don’t know or understand. His team of about 30 college professionals has hundreds of years of experience in this space.

Until March 15, you can enroll in two valuable workshops and access their college planning software all for free. Normally, this package would be $800. See all the details at the link here.

The Journey to Launch

Every business starts with the realization of a need. For Greg, that realization came after working as a financial advisor since 2004 and helping families with college since 2010.

“Once I understood the rules that families have to follow to maximize efficiencies in the process, I realized it's a gap in the market because most financial advisors don't have a clue about these rules," Greg explains. “Most families get terrible and/or outdated advice about college, and my team is here to change that!” He noted that when these complex regulations aren't factored into a plan, families invariably overpay for college. So he endeavored to build a platform that puts the financial side of the college process front and center. But the team handles every aspect of the college process.

What does Genesis College Strategies offer?

While many college advisory services focus primarily on the admissions and application side, Genesis distinguishes itself by diving deep into the financial mechanics of higher education, while also making sure the admissions side is taken care of.

He emphasizes that a successful strategy is about planning properly, using the right tools, and not letting the rules work against you. It takes a comprehensive strategy to do it right.

Their Vision for the Future

"Our goal this year is to expand our online courses' presence across the country." Greg shares. He is focused on getting his Essentials workshop in front of every family who needs it;. And he wants to help families master both the admissions and financial pieces of this complicated puzzle.

There are about 10 different courses and programs available; some are online, some are concierge services that hold your hands through the entire process. If you are a DIY type of person or if you prefer to let the experts handle it…they have a program that will work for you.
