About SAVE LOCH ACHILTY
SAVE LOCH ACHILTY is a community-led ecological advocacy group dedicated to protecting the unique freshwater, peatland and upland habitats of the Loch Achilty catchment from industrial-scale development. Focused on evidence-based campaigning, habitat monitoring and partnership with local landowners and scientists, we mobilise residents and stakeholders to Stop Tarvie Wind Farm — defending biodiversity, carbon-rich peatlands and the cultural landscapes that sustain local livelihoods. Our approach combines rigorous ecological assessment with grassroots organising to ensure planning decisions reflect long-term environmental and community resilience.
Brand Values
At our core we put place and people first: we champion the ecological integrity of Loch Achilty and the wellbeing of neighbouring communities, guided by scientific evidence and deep local knowledge. We act with stewardship and transparency, prioritising peatland preservation, species protection and climate-smart solutions over short-term development that risks irreversible damage. Rooted in collaboration and non-partisan civic engagement, we pursue constructive dialogue with decision-makers while remaining fierce advocates for conservation, ensuring every action supports intergenerational resilience and the living landscapes we protect.
